Sabrina Geary
Sabrina Geary began her undergraduate education at the Catholic University of America knowing her goal was to serve the community through her experience with engineering and technology. She has given back to her campus and local community through her involvement with the homeless food runs in the DC area, with her position as the Vice President of Tau Beta Pi (National Engineering Honor Society), and through the Design Jam – Vaccinate DC events supported by the Neilom Foundation. She has also been inducted into Phi Sigma Eta, an esteemed national honor society for students who are in the top 20% of their class. She takes great pride in her senior design project of creating construction site safety sensors to protect the long-term health of construction workers.
Being the Student Director of Design Jam – Vaccinate DC has given Sabrina insight into her community that she never knew existed. Sabrina and her team created a collaborative, mini think-tank event where people from all backgrounds came together to discuss the common goal of rapid and equitable vaccination in Washington, DC. Sabrina graduated in May 2021 with her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and will pursue her professional career as a Design/Build Manager at ARCO Design/Build Industrial.
