RAISE: Realizing AI for Social Empowerment Competition
The Neilom Foundation’s RAISE: Realizing AI for Social Empowerment competition for 2024 invites undergraduate college students across the State of Maryland to submit their ideas or projects for using Generative AI to positively impact society.
Submissions will be in the form of a 2 minute video and a one-page document explaining how their project uses generative AI, who benefits from their project, and how.
Example project areas might include but are not limited to: Community Engagement, Safety, Accessibility, Social Justice, Environment, Mental health support, Healthcare, Education.
Prizes:
$3,500 in total prizes will be awarded to an individual or split between team members. A panel of judges will review all of the entries and the finalists will be invited to attend the Award Ceremony, where the final prizes will be announced.
First Place Prize: $2,000
Second Place: $1,000
Third Place: $500
Competition Dates:
Competition Opens: September 1, 2024
Entries Close: November 1, 2024
Award Ceremony: December 1, 2024
