Caitlyn Pratt – Neilom Fellow
Caitlyn was the recipient of the 2020 Neilom Prize for Social Impact at The George Washington University (GWU), in recognition of her outstanding achievements in the area of positive social impact. As a biomedical engineering student, she participated in a medical hackathon and developed a company for a product called “Takin’ it Easy”, a user-friendly, cost-effective automated pill dispenser for those who require regular care. She and her team won the runner-up Tech Venture in the GWU competition, and third place at the 2018 Pitch George competition.
She served as Director of the George Hacks program at GWU from 2018-20 (now officially a nonprofit organization), and is now an R&D Engineer Intern at Medtronic pursuing interests in medical devices and human-centered design.
